This webinar will explore the role of crime in critical raw material supply chains, an increasingly pressing issue in the context of rising global demand.
As supply networks grow more complex, they create opportunities for various forms of crime, including corruption, illegal trade, human rights abuses, and financial crime. These dynamics contribute to environmental degradation — including deforestation and pollution — while undermining the rule of law and the reliability of supply.
Bringing together experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the OECD, this webinar will examine how crime manifests along mineral supply chains, its environmental, social, and global security implications, and the tools, standards, and approaches that can help governments, companies, and other stakeholders prevent, detect, and respond to these risks.
Note: The webinar will be recorded and made available to the public on YouTube and the Beyond Hot Air website. The Q&A portion will not be recorded.
